Privacy notice
Short version: this site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It collects almost nothing about you. This page explains the little that does happen.
Who is responsible
The controller of personal data on grisco.eu, portfolio.grisco.eu, tools.grisco.eu and games.grisco.eu is Eugen Grisco, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Contact: hello@grisco.eu.
The sites are run under Moldovan law, including Law No. 195/2024 on personal data protection.
What the sites do not do
- No analytics, statistics or tracking scripts, and no advertising.
- No third-party fonts, scripts or images: fonts and all other files are served from this site itself.
- No accounts for visitors, no forms, no newsletter and no comments.
- No profiling and no selling or sharing of data.
What is stored on your device
The sites store a few small items in your browser. None of them identifies you, and none is used for tracking.
- Language cookie ("lang"): saved only if you use the language switcher, so that your choice is remembered. It lasts 365 days.
- Theme (light or dark): saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. It is never sent to the server.
- Music player settings (such as volume): also saved in local storage on your device only.
- Listening cookie ("grisco_listen"): set when you open the Music page. It holds only a random code that lets the player fetch the songs for your browser, and is deleted when you close the browser; the server deletes its side within 12 hours of your last use. It is used for nothing else.
- Games: a game may keep its progress and settings in your browser's local storage and files in its cache (for example so that it also works offline). This stays on your device; nothing is sent to me.
- A login cookie exists only for the site owner, to access the administration area. Visitors never receive it.
You can delete these items at any time in your browser settings.
Click counts on tools and games
On tools.grisco.eu, on games.grisco.eu and in the Hobbies lists, a link to a tool or a game passes through a small counter so that I can see which ones are useful. For each tool or game and day, only a number is kept.
To avoid counting the same visitor twice on the same day, a one-way code is calculated from a random value that changes every day, your IP address and your browser type. The random value and these codes are deleted the next day. Your IP address and browser type are not stored, no cookie is set, and automated visits are not counted.
Embedded players
Some pages (the Music page and some Hobbies items) embed players from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode), Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud or Bandcamp. On those pages only, your browser contacts the provider and sends it technical data such as your IP address. This is governed by the provider's own privacy policy. Pages without a player make no such contact.
Server logs and hosting
The sites are hosted by a web hosting provider, whose servers keep standard technical logs (for example IP address, time and requested page) for security and operation. I do not use these logs to identify visitors, and how long the provider keeps them is set by the provider.
Some tool pages show the latest version of a tool. This information is fetched by the server from the tools' own websites and involves no data about you. Games show their version, which the server reads from the game's own files on the same hosting.
Contacting me
If you write to hello@grisco.eu, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful or required, then delete it. I do not share it with anyone.
External links
The sites link to other websites (for example the tools and games themselves and social profiles). Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and not to be subject to automated decisions. Write to hello@grisco.eu and I will respond within the legal time limit.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can complain to the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova (datepersonale.md).
Changes
If anything changes, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
